On May 17th, 2014 about 20 graffiti artists with will gathering at Carlisle Lake in Onalaska, WA for Notrhwest Spray Day 2014. I’m honored to be invited by Justin Boggs, the event planner, to be painting with these other artists!
As a resident of Portland, Oregon, I am excited to have such an event close to town! The mural laws in Portland limit the painting a graffiti artist can do So I have to travel to do street art. I hope that this event helps to promote graffiti art in Oregon and Washington. Thanks to all and sponsors of this event including Art Primo.
As posted recently, I was in Denver for the Colorado Crush Graffiti Festival. Click here to see more.
I took some video footage of the happenings there. Hope fully you can get a sense of what a great event these guys put on! There was a large attendence form former and present NY artists. Definitely some heavy hitter from Denver, California and more.
Here are some great links to what was going on at the mile high city in the heatwave!

I knew about the Colorado Crush for a while and a few weeks before the event I decided to head out for it. I flew in and hit up The Cypher Shop for some paint, grabbed a Smash Burger and got to the walls of the Colorado Crush.
Last Summer Mr. Ewok One came out to the Pacific Northwest to paint with Asis and me. What happened?
I was recently asked by someone if I usually liked the stuff that I create? This artist was asking me because they were struggling with their own style. A lot of the time I don’t like what I do… to the point where people like ASIS one would say, “Let me guess… you hate it, right?”. I actually like my work only about 25% of the time… and if you think I’m whack, good!
I am a perfectionist. I always find fault with my style, my painting, my colors and my skill. This can be a gift though! I am always striving to do better. I always compare myself to the top guns in the graff world… I should be like them! I think that any good artist is their own worst critic. This pushes that artist to improve, to evolve (or be created if you are a fundamentalist christian graff writer). Continue reading
